December 17, 2005 was this year's polar dip. For those of you not familiar, once a year, statewide, community folks come out and those who are the brave line up waterside and wait for the horn blast that says "Go For It!" and everyone runs squeeling into frosty Sitka Sound! Afterwards, everyone gets warm towels, hot chocolate and a certificate of insanity by our local SEARHC phyiciatrist, Steven Wall. Lots of fun, lots of silliness and lots of Alaskanist! |
