| Things to Experience Close by: Just a short 5 minutes away is our most popular wildlife and recreational area, Halibut Point Park. Trails wind up and around old growth trees so big, you never see the top and salmon rush up the small mountain streams in late summer. At low tide a small island invites the adventurous to get away from the crowd, but remember the tide or you'll be wading back. Sea lions, martin, and the occasional bear are just a few friends you may see along the way. Picnic tables, some sheltered invites you to lunch among the towering spruce and fire pits, offer the hot dog lovers a place to cook their dogs and warm their toes.. Wooded trails tempt you with their succulent berries. |
